Leicester Support Group
The Leicester Support Group is a group of volunteers who offer people affected with osteoporosis the chance to meet other people in the area similarly affected, get information, support and ask questions about osteoporosis treatment and care.
This support group regularly holds meetings in Leicester. Attendees are welcome from anywhere in UK, there is no requirement to live within the city/region to attend these meetings.
Programme 2025
Tuesday 7 January, 7pm (Online)
A talk about the ROS specialist nurse helpline, with the opportunity to ask your questions to one of the specialist nurses.
Saturday 1 March, 9.45 - 11.30am (at Palmers Garden Centre, St Johns, Enderby, Leicester LE19 2BS)
Meet and chat. Refreshments can be purchased from the cafe.
Wednesday 30 April, 10.30am - 12.30pm (at Ulverscroft Manor’s Activity Centre, Priory Lane, Markfield LE67 9PY)
The emotional impact of an osteoporosis diagnosis
This will be an interactive session with a video to watch, discussion and time to chat. For those interested, there will also be a walk and lunch afterwards at the charity’s tea rooms – Ulverscroft Grange. There are limited places for the lunch, so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to join us for this.
