Help drive research into the treatment of pelvic fractures

If you’re a researcher or healthcare professional working with people affected by pelvic fractures, you could help improve treatment by taking part in a research study.

You can help if:

You care for patients 60 years old or older who have had a Lateral Compression Type-1 fracture due to a fall from standing height.

About the study:

The study is looking at whether pelvic fracture patients may benefit from a new surgical technique called INFIX. It’s thought this new technique could improve mobility and other outcomes for patients, supporting them to get back to everyday life sooner.

The study restarts on Monday 15 March following a pause due to the pandemic, and runs until March 2023.

You can help by:

Providing your hospital has a pelvic surgeon, your role would be to help recruit participants, half of whom will receive surgical treatment using the new technique and the other half will receive standard non-surgical treatment.
